The Porsche 356 doesn't need any further introduction. It's a coveted classic car on the (inter)national market that can be found in our showroom and/or workshop on a regular base. However, it is special when the power source is plucked from the racing industry. Directly derived from the Porsche 550 Spyder, the Type 547/1 is a competition engine at heart. A clever piece of engineering by Mr. Fuhrmann if you ask us!
To transfer the power of this 1.5L 4-cam engine onto the tarmac, the Carrera received an improved suspension, braking system and wider tire size. A luxury coupe with the DNA of a true racer.
We return to July 1957, when this Porsche 356 1500 GS Carrera was delivered to its first owner in Austria. A stylish combination of silver metallic with a red interior makes this 'Carrera' a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Via Italy and Monaco, this example found its way to Belgium over the years. Equipped with a period correct 574/1 Fuhrmann engine and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, Kardex, FIVA document and Mille Miglia Registro document.
