Description:
In August 1936, Alvis introduced the Speed 25. From 1938 onward, the updated SC model was offered with a reinforced chassis and a 3.5-litre inline six-cylinder engine featuring triple SU carburettors and approximately 106 hp. Compared to the preceding SB model, the engine was fitted with a seven-bearing crankshaft, which significantly improved smoothness and overall performance. The Speed 25 is considered one of the most dynamic British pre-war models.
The example offered here was originally delivered in 1938 as a Charlesworth Saloon and later fitted with a Cross & Ellis Tourer body. A comprehensive restoration—covering all mechanical, electrical, and body components—was completed in 2017. The vehicle’s history is fully documented.
A reliable pre-war automobile with well-documented provenance and restoration, offering high driving enjoyment—suitable for historic rallies and other events.
