BMW 3.0 CSL 1972

The BMW 3.0 CSL is the lightweight version of the BMW 3.0 CS. The BMW 3.0 CSL has the same performance as the BMW 3.0 CS. Due to the lightweight variant, which was built by Alpina, the CSL offers a significant weight reduction of around 150kg. This weight reduction imparts a noticeably sporty touch to the vehicle's overall character. From August 1972 (this CSL was built in 10/1972) the BMW 3.0 CSL was fitted with the D-Jetronic (port injection). Of this example, 439 right-hand drive and 500 left-hand drive were built.
