It was the last glorious chapter for Daimler before Jaguar Cars took the helm.

Originally, it was named Dart, but about a millisecond after this word was first uttered in Coventry, the legal letters started pouring in, and the phone was ringing off the hook with lawyers from Chrysler. As a result, it was quickly renamed SP250.
