Ford Thunderbird 1957

This elegant Ford Thunderbird from 1957 - a so-called ‘Classic Bird’ - has a colour scheme in classic black with a red interior. The vehicle comes with some historical documents and an original purchase invoice from 1962! Powered by a powerful V8 engine with a displacement of 5,055 cm³ and an output of 190 kW, this classic offers an authentic US car feeling and unmistakable presence. The car is from the first Thunderbird generation (1955-1957), now known as the ‘Classic Bird’ - the only series of the Thunderbird to be built as a sporty two-seater. With its stylish combination of sportiness and luxury, the Thunderbird characterised a new class of vehicle: the ‘Personal Luxury Car’. The 1957 model year is probably the best known and most popular of the Classic Birds - with an extended rear end, striking tail fins and modernised design. This version is particularly famous for the elegant, removable hardtop with the characteristic round ‘porthole’ side windows - a real design highlight and recognisable feature of the 1957 Thunderbird.
