It left the JAGUAR factory on February 1, 1964 and was then shipped to the USA, to New York. America had no serious sports cars of its own, loved the E-Type and had pockets full of money. So almost 70% of left-hand drive E-Types were sold to the USA. In 2022, this E-Type was found in very good condition. With matching numbers, a very solid body and all important chrome attachments. Due to its excellent condition, nothing stood in the way of a nut & bolt restoration. This restoration took 1 ½ years and 2,000 hours of work by our experts. Every single screw was taken in hand, all cavities were opened, only unrepairable body parts were professionally cut out and replaced with new ones. Great care was taken to work exactly as the Jaguar factory did in 1964. All spot welds are correct, every detail is in place and only tin was used for the surfaces instead of filler. A technique that is only mastered and used by a few specialists today. The gap dimensions and the surfaces, the flat body panels speak for themselves. Two coats of clear lacquer were applied and additionally sealed with ceramic. The engine was tested on an engine test bench before it was installed in the E-Type. After the complete restoration, the E-Type was test-driven by us for 400 km. This E-Type offers you the highest quality, originality and drives perfectly. A dream car in the 1960s as well as today.
