Jaguar E-Type 4.2 1967

The spectacular Jaguar E-Type was revealed at the Geneva Salon in 1961 and the trade audience is instantly won over! This super sports car with high power and modern chassis was available as a roadster for DM 26,000, the Coupé was DM 1,000 more expensive. This was a sensation and a shock for Ferrari and it also de-mystified the legendary Mercedes 300 SL. This was typical Jaguar fashion: “more car for less money” including a few weak points. With the 2nd generation, the 1.5, there were many changes in detail. Most noticeable is the engine with 4,235 ccm capacity and the fully synchronized transmission. The disk brakes now had brake boosters and a more energetic grip. It’s 18 month production time makes the series 1.5 rare. Our Jaguar E-Type Series 1½ with a plausible mileage of 94,000 miles was registered in California. The classic car has been in Germany since 2013 and is duty paid. It has been checked and reconditioned by a specialist workshop and is being serviced there. This is a marvellous E-Type Roadster that is waiting to be driven.
