The sporty version of the first generation Lancia Delta (the Lancia Delta (Group A)) was successfully used in the World Rally Championship. Lancia won the constructors' title six times in a row (1987 to 1992) and three times in the drivers' championship (1988, 1989 and 1991).
For the public road there was, among other things, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione. This was equipped with four-wheel drive and a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo engine with 210 hp. Later there was an Evoluzione II, which had a total of 215 hp. Most people know the Delta mainly from this version. It was actually a rally car for the public road.
In 1993, production finally ended, to make way for the second generation Delta.
This EVO 1 presented here is an 8-valve and made for Switzerland/America/Canada and Japan in connection with the emission requirements. A larger turbo was used because there was room for it by omitting the catalytic converter. The original magnesium rims are underneath and the 15 inch rims are also included. There is a new exhaust, new shock absorbers and has had a major service where valves were adjusted and a new timing belt was fitted. Furthermore, it still looks like new inside and out. So it is a perfect Delta integral for the real enthusiast of a four-wheel drive semi rally car!!
