Mercedes-Benz 280 TE 1984

At the end of January 1976, the new W 123 mid-range was introduced with the 200 to 280 E models and various diesel variants. These classic models are still the most successful Mercedes model series today, with almost 2.7 million units built. From April 1978, the so-called “T-Model”, the first estate built by Mercedes-Benz itself, rolled off the production line at the Bremen plant. The “T” stands for Transport and Touring. The T-Model was quickly recognised as particularly solid and perfect, with almost 200,000 units produced. The Mercedes-Benz 280 TE was the top model in the series, as the marvellous six-cylinder engine with twin camshafts brought luxury to the Mercedes-Benz mid-range. Our Mercedes-Bent 280 TE was built for export to Switzerland and therefore has sophisticated corrosion protection. The classic car came to Germany via Holland and is registered. The estate car is rock-solid and down-to-earth in its appearance. Only a few buyers were able to afford the model with the top-of-the-range engine.
