The 911S is special in itself. With the first version delivered in '67, still with carburators, the first S with mechanical fuel injection came in '69. A 2.0 engine, magnesium and ditto gearbox. Revolutionary, lightweight and high compression. A sublime combination, which was further developed in each subsequent model year. With a capacity of 2.2 liters in 1970 and 1971, the Targa was also offered as an S version. The ultimate driver's car, open roof and the most powerful engine that Porsche had in its range at the time. A name thanks to the famous Targa Florio in Sicily and the razor-sharp 2.2 liter S engine is an irresistible combination.
After almost 20 years of ownership, this original 911S 2.2 Targa is coming onto the market. With a very rich history in rally's, this Porsche has been built up to a very high level. This car has completed dozens of rally's such as the Tulpenrally and Wintertrial without any problems. Always very well maintained and completely overhauled a few years ago. In its original Geminimetallic colour, this Targa shines.
Not only is the car beautiful aesthetically, but also technically no expense has been spared. All invoices from the last 20 years are present, as well as a FIVA passport, a birth certificate and a number of spare parts. Recently serviced again, during which, among other things, the HKZ and related ignition parts were renewed, the car was completely dry-ice blasted and checked.
