Widely regarded as one of the most iconic Japanese sports cars of all time, the Datsun 240z / 260z set a new standard in design, performance and reliability that the West could only aspire to. Here we have an extraordinary example, not just of a Datsun 260z but of any car from 1978.  Truly remarkable in every respect from its mainly original paint work, matching numbers mechanical components, a body that has never been welded, original glass, interior, carburettors, wheels, down to even the carpets and tools. Accompanying the car are three large plastic boxes beautifully arranged with nearly every MOT, tax disc, service document, original service book, owners manual, tool kit and jack to name just some of the provenance this car comes with. This is an original UK example that has been cared for without regard for cost throughout its life, and its mileage is supported by the extensive list of MOTs that are present in the file.  Making it even rarer is the fact that in 1978 there were only 325 UK RHD examples of the 2 seater produced. Ziebarted from new, the quality and condition of this example will be virtually impossible to repeat.
