In February 1966, Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia GT 1300 Junior (Tipo 105.30). As an entry-level model, it replaced the Giulia Sprint from the Tipo 101 series, which still had the Scaglione body from 1954. The 1300 GT Junior combines the Bertone GT body with the 1.3-litre engine already used in the Giulia range. The maximum power is 87 hp (64 kW). Some testers consider this engine variant to be the most harmonious of the entire Bialbero family. This means that the car reaches a top speed of 175 km/h, according to other sources 163 km/h. One review said the 1.3-liter coupe's performance was mediocre unless you put it in the right gear at the right time. Externally, the early 1300 GT Junior only differs from the larger 1600 model by a modified radiator cowl, which has one instead of three horizontal chrome struts. The 1300 GT Junior/GT Junior 1.3 remained in the range until the Giulia GT series was discontinued in 1975. During this time he experienced few changes. In 1970 it got the smooth front end of the larger models, but had single headlights throughout and a single horizontal chrome strip in the radiator cowl.
This model that we present here has a 2 L engine but still has the much nicer interior of the Junior Veloce. So it has actually become a nice 2 L version. The color is light green metallic and gives the car a chic look. Furthermore, this Alfa Romeo runs beautifully and shifts and brakes great. All in all a very desirable Alfa Romeo.
