A stunning 1923 Packard 'Doctor's' Coupe 126 in dark blue with an upper black roofline and contrasting black fenders. This car was perfectly suited for doctors to make house calls and the rear seat contains a special compartment to store the doctor's medicines and bag. The passenger front seat folds out of the way to make the rear seating more accessible for medical transportation of patients. At the time it was an economical car in the six-cylinder line that sold for $3,550. Packard script plates are located on the running boards and a Motometer tracks the engine's temperature. It features jewelled crown headlamps and a fuel gauge mounted directly to the gas tank. Furthermore there are interior flower vases, sun visor and self-contained trunk area. The interior is finished in pleated blue wool broadcloth with matching blue headliner. Up front, the doctor had his own seat behind a large wood steering wheel. The coupe has also been retrofitted with turn signals in the interest of safety. Power comes from a 268.4-cubic-inch L-head straight six rated at 54 HP. It rides on colour-keyed wood spoke artillery wheels with pinstripes and Blackwall tyres for a period-correct look. This 1923 Packard 'Doctor's Coupe 126 is a smart-looking car from any angle. Its clean lines project the imagine of Packard's fine engineering.
